The Boyd Group Inc. announced the September 26, 2016 opening of a new Gerber collision repair center in Portage, Ind. The location will focus on the repair of semi-trucks and large commercial vehicles, as well as recreational vehicles. It was previously operated by Great Lakes Peterbilt, a large truck dealership, with which it shares a location. Portage is located about 40 miles southeast of Chicago and the center is in close proximity to Interstate 94.
