The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and Advance CTE released a joint statement urging Congress to act on the reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins) in the final months of the 114th Congress. The two organizations stressed the importance of building on the bipartisan momentum established for Perkins reauthorization through H.R. 5587, the Strengthening Career and Technical Education (CTE) for the 21st Century Act, which was unanimously reported out of the U.S. House Committee
