Vehicle manufacturers’ association has sent a letter concerning a legislative proposal that would change California’s Zero Emissions Vehicle mandate.
The Association of Global Automakers sent a letter to California legislative leadership in opposition to a last minute proposal that it says would:
require that at least 15 percent of all new vehicles sold in California be zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) by 2025,- require that 100 percent of all new vehicles sold in California be ZEVs by 2050, and
- cut plug-in hybrid vehicles out of the ZEV program.
According to the association, the legislation has been introduced by Assembly member Autumn
