Thatcham Works with Repair Chains to Develop Best Practice for Recalibrating ADAS Systems During Windshield Replacement

Thatcham Research, the UK-based automobile insurers’ research center, has issued a voluntary code of practice to provide clear guidance on the recalibration of car safety technology during the replacement or refit of windshields.
Thatcham ADAS Code of PracticeThe ADAS Repair Group, led by Thatcham Research and including companies active in automotive glazing replacement such as National Windshields, Autoglass and Nationwide Crash Repair Centres, have issued the ‘ADAS Glazing Code of Practice’ aimed at addressing concerns around the level of industry knowledge relating to the recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology.

The code provides a recommended set of guidelines for replacing or refitting
