Traffic Volume Up 2.6% in April

While driving increased across all five regions in the U.S., the rate of growth slowed from March.

Travel for the month of April is estimated at 272.8 billion vehicle miles nationwide according to the most recent data released by the Federal Highway Administration. The April result continues the very positive trend leading to the growth in auto physical damage insurance claims and collision repair industry volume. April’s traffic volume represents an increase of 2.6 percent, or 6.8 billion vehicle miles compared to April 2015. April’s result is down from the 5.0 percent, or 13.0 billion vehicle miles, increase in March
