ARA Praises U.S. Transportation Secretary for Support of Recyclers on Recalled Part Data

Michael E. Wilson, CEO of the Automotive Recycling Association (ARA), recently lauded U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx for his work on implementation of the rules and regulations stemming from the multi -year highway bill, the FAST act.

“Secretary Foxx‟s early support was a critical component for having language included in legislation assisting the automotive recycling industry to address automakers defective recalls,” said Wilson. The FAST Act was signed into law by President Obama in December.

Wilson met briefly with Sec. Foxx after a recent Senate Committee on Commerce and Science and Transportation hearing.
