Greg Coccaro, Sr., (66), founder and owner of North State Custom in Bedford Hills, N.Y. passed away May 31.
Coccaro rose to prominence in the collision repair industry in 2007 following his filing of a $40 million lawsuit against Progressive Insurance in 2007 for steering. The suit was filed in response to concerns Coccaro had with Progressive’s conduct following a 2005 lawsuit filed by Progressive against Coccaro and North State Custom alleging fraud in the repair of a vehicle insured by the company.
