The Pennsylvania Collision Trade Guild (PCTG) is urging collision repairers and consumers in Pennsylvania to contact their State Senator and urge them to vote “No” on House Bill 1638. The bill, approved by the Senate Finance and Banking Committee on Tuesday, March 15, would remove the current requirement that insurance appraisals be prepared based upon a personal inspection of the vehicle, allowing the use of digital images and photos.
Members of the PCTG testified against the bill during a hearing before the Senate Committee in January.
