ASA-Supported Aftermarket Parts Disclosure Bill Passes NH Senate

March 9, 2016 By CollisionWeek Editor

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) reports that New Hampshire Senate Bill 436, introduced by state Sen. Nancy Stiles, R-24, was passed by the Senate on March 3. The bill, that is supported by ASA, requires an insurer to disclose whether or not an estimate has been prepared based on the use of aftermarket parts. Any insurer who fails to provide the disclosure would be prohibited from requesting or requiring the use of aftermarket parts.
