The Automotive Service Association is encouraging automotive and collision repairers to oppose Illinois House Bill 6169 (HB 6169). Introduced by Illinois State Rep. Ron Sandack, HB 6169 would require vehicle storage providers to send a certified letter detailing their rates to the vehicle lienholder before imposing fees. It also states that the lienholder must have the opportunity to inspect the vehicle on the premises.
