Production employees and hours worked both increase as industry surpasses the prior high recorded in March 2008.
An analysis of the latest data released from the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), shows that total production for the collision repair industry increased in November versus October. More significant is the fact that November production surpassed the previous high reported in March 2008, before rising gas prices and the recession caused a decline in the industry.
At its worst, production had declined 16.4 percent from the peak at its lowest point in January 2011.
