Thatcham Research is today delivering a call to action for vehicle manufacturers to urgently engage with the repair industry to halt spiraling costs. According to Thatcham, the motor insurer’s automotive research center in the United Kingdom, the average repair bill has risen by nearly 32 percent in the last three years to £1,678 ($2164), and concerns are mounting around core repair challenges encompassing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), new materials and a lack of skills.
