While production employment and hours worked decreased in September compared to August, production continues above 2015 levels. September’s increase compared to 2015 surpasses rate seen during June through August.
An analysis of the latest data released from the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), shows that total production for the collision repair industry was down in September versus the previous month but was up from September 2015. Production matched the pre-recession peak of March 2008.
